ColabaConversation | Closing Session
From Paris to Glasgow via Mumbai on the COP 26 Journey
In December 2020, Mumbai became the sixth Indian city to be chosen as a member of the C40 cities. Maharashtra, one of India's most industrialised states, has increased its commitment to fight against extreme weather events, droughts, severe flooding and annual sea-level rise. This discussion will seek a perspective on the role, expectations, and strategies to be adopted by cities and states in collective, quick action on mitigation and adaptation in the run-up to COP-26. It will also dwell on the larger issue of availability and accessibility of sustainable green finance to meet the climate targets.
